Providing expert-led, child focussed full time residential care for children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Aria Residential Care was created by four unique individuals that wanted make a real difference to the lives of children and young people that found themselves in residential care.
With a combined experience of almost 40 years in residential settings and young people’s service industries, it was apparent that a lot of children’s homes were created by business owners who didn’t necessarily have enough experience or the resilience to meet the challenges faced by children and young people today.
It became our vision to create a home for children and young people whereby they would be surrounded by a team of people who understand their individual and often complex situations, who could adequately care for their needs and who could provide and safe and nurturing environment in order from them to achieve their maximum potential.
At Aria Residential Care we believe that looked after children should be offered the same choices, chances and opportunities as other children and that we should work together with them and others involved in their care and welfare to establish a place of safety and comfort.
We believe that children and young people respond best and can reach their full potential when they are looked after in an environment in which people are genuinely interested in their welfare, get to know them and their needs and ensure that those needs are met. This means children and young people are made to feel special, cared for and worthwhile.
We will provide a homely environment for children and young people which is pleasant and comfortable and in which they can feel welcome and accepted. We understand that children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties respond best to calm, orderly and consistent care routines and will ensure that these are established and maintained. All staff will receive appropriate training and support to ensure that they are in touch with the needs of the children and young people we care for and have the necessary skills to meet those needs.
We believe that all children and young people should be free from harm, fear or threat and will actively pursue anti-bullying, safeguarding, complaints and equal opportunities policies to ensure that they enjoy the benefits of living in a safe environment. We understand the vulnerability of looked after children and young people to abuse and exploitation and will be proactive in promoting their safety and protection.
We are dedicated to promoting the best outcome for children. We believe that a successful outcome for each child is the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe environment.
